Agricarbon Mission

To unlock a vast opportunity for agricultural CO2 removal by establishing a new global service for quantifying soil carbon

Soil has the potential to act as a massive, natural carbon sink, but there’s a catch: the effects are largely hidden below ground and extremely difficult to measure. Agricarbon offers a breakthrough: a new service that quantifies soil carbon stock with the highest possible scientific integrity and is affordable to deploy at scale.

Agricarbon Solution

We take the ‘gold standard’ of laboratory analysis for quantifying soil organic carbon (SOC)…

…and apply robotics and AI
to automate the process,
reducing time and labour…

…to offer a very low cost service that yields very high integrity quantification of soil carbon stock

Affordable at scale

Affordable at scale

Agricarbon reduces cost of robust carbon stock validation by around 90% vs. today

Universal application

Universal application

Agricarbon can ground-truth any soil, anywhere without reference or calibration data

Carbon-market ready

Latest developments

We are currently operating a large scale pilot before full service roll-out across the UK and beyond.

Agricarbon’s new service and technology innovation is being put through its paces in a pioneering soil carbon capture project – the first of its kind in the world. The project, carried out in partnership with First Milk farms and sponsored by Nestlé, establishes a comprehensive and scientifically robust soil carbon baseline for 40 dairy farms across the UK.
